The International Council for Harmonisation (ICH) has reported that “significant milestones” have been reached over the past year. From the adoption of guidances regarding carcinogenicity testing, residual solvent testing, and specifications for electronic Common Technical Document (eCTD) regulatory submissions, the ICH has now adopted several guidelines and updated existing ones. The ICH made the announcement following a virtual meeting that took place on June 10, 2021. The ICH consists of 18 members, including the recent addition of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) and the United Kingdom’s Medicines and Healthcare products Agency (MHRA), as well as 33 observers. The next ICH meeting will take place virtually on November 17-18, 2021.
